Strongcrete Mortar Mix contains washed, graded sand, cement and plasticiser.  When water is added this mixture produces a high quality mortar suitable for concrete bricks, concrete blocks and clay bricks.

Mix Instructions

1. Measure 4.0 litres of clean water per bag of Strongcrete Mortar Mix into a mixer.
2. Add Strongcrete Mortar Mix and mix thoroughly for 8 minutes.
3. If necessary, add small amounts of water to achieve desired consistency.

Mixing By Hand

1. Empty entire contents of one bag of Strongcrete Mortar Mix into a wheelbarrow.
2. Add 4.5 litres of clean water and mix with a spade.  Ensure the water is mixed evenly.
3. If necessary, add small amounts of water to achieve desired consistency.

Important

• Strongcrete Mortar Mix contains the correct level of plasticiser.  Adding extra plasticiser may reduce the bonding strength of the mixture.
• Strongcrete Mortar Mix is designed to meet the required strength of 12.5mpa, meeting N.Z.S. 4210 1989 Code of Practice for Masonry Construction.
• Concrete bricks and cement blocks should be laid dry.
• Clay bricks should be slightly damp prior to laying.

Safety

Avoid excessive skin contact,eye contact and swallowing.

• Freshly mixed concrete or mortar may cause skin irritations, including alkaline burning and dermatitis.
• Avoid contact with the skin by wearing suitable clothing and gloves.
• In the event of contact with skin or eyes rinse thoroughly with water.
• If swallowed drink 1-2 glasses of water.
• If irritation persists seek medial advice.
