Fast Setting - High Strength - Waterproof - Repair Medium

Magic Mud is a ready to use, fast setting, high strength repair medium in a 30kg weatherproof bag.  When mixed with water it provides a flexible hydrophobic mortar with a high bond strength.

It is recommended for:
  • Water Treatment Stations
  • Repair of damaged Concrete Members
  • Concrete Holding Tanks
  • Man Holes
  • Repairs to Concrete Members, both reinforced and pre stressed under normal stresses
  • Repairs to damp, wet or under water surfaces
Surfaces where Magic Mud is to be used should be clean, sound and free from dust, oil, grease and loose particles.  Any such areas should be cleaned by high pressure water blasting, sand blasting, pneumatic chisel or any other approved means.  The area to be repaired should be cleaned up to a rough surface to maximise the keying in of the Magic Mud.  For areas greater than a depth of 25mm it is recommended reinforcing wire or mesh be attached.

 Mix only what is required to effect repairs.  This product sets in 17 minutes from placement.
 

Mix Instructions

  1. Measure 110mls of clean water to 1kg of MAGIC MUD Repair Medium in a clean container.
  2. Mix thoroughly, ensuring the water is mixed evenly.
  3. If necessary, add small amounts of water to achieve the desired consistency.
  4. Once placed and finished DO NOT REWORK.


Important

  • Strongcrete MAGIC MUD contains the correct levels of Plasticizer, adding extra Plasticizer may reduce the bonding strength of the mixture.
  • Strongcrete MAGIC MUD is designed to meet NZS 4210:2001 Code of Practice for Masonry Construction.
  • Mix only what is required to affect repairs. This product sets in 17 minutes from placement.
  • Once product has been placed and finished off, do not rework as this may affect the final setting of the mix.


Safety

Avoid excessive skin contact, eye contact and swallowing.

  • Freshly mixed concrete or mortar may cause skin irritations including alkaline burning and dermatitis.
  • Avoid contact with the skin by wearing suitable clothing and gloves.
  • In the event of contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • If swallowed drink plenty of water and induce vomiting.
  • If irritation persists seek Medical advice.
