The integrity of SIGNGLOSS sign panels is directly related to how well the panels are fixed to the framing.
Fixing to timber framing.
Freestanding signs will require fastening appropriate to the wind conditions for the vicinity.
Fixing to concrete.
Available in 25mm x 3.4mm, 40mm x 3.5mm and 55mm x 3.5mm.
Minimum screw length fixing into timber.
When in doubt, always consult the Plywood Manufacturers Manual or Design Specifications for specific fixing details.
Fixing to timber framing.
- Plyfast screws are recommended because of their increased holding power and avoidance of head popping
- Screw lengths in timber framing, should be 20mm to 25mm longer than the panel thickness.
- Care must be taken no to overdrive gun screws.
- Allowance must be made for expansion between sheets in multi sheet signs.
- Fixings should be no more than 15mm from edge of sheet.
- Spacing for fixings is recommended at 400mm along perimeter of sheet and 600mm across and along centre framing for fascia fixing.

- Consider general guide above where applicable.
- Dyna bolts minimum 6mm diameter for fastening directly onto the wall.
- Fasten timber battens to wall at appropriate centres and fix panels with Plyfast screws.
